Whatever ScalpMed side effects are experienced are due to the active ingredient that it contains, minoxidil. ScalpMed contains the highest permissible amount of minoxidil, a substance which is FDA approved for treating hair loss. But it also contributes to several ScalpMed side effects ranging from acne to low blood pressure and chest pain. However, it is not necessary that you will experience all these side effects.
